Individual Position: The individual is lying supine on the table with their thigh flexed, slightly abducted, and externally rotated. The leg is partially flexed.
Practitioner Position: The practitioner is standing to the side of the individual being tested, with their cephalad hand making contact slightly proximal to the knee and their caudad hand placed slightly proximal to the ankle.
Description of Muscle Test: The individual is requested to simultaneously abduct, flex and externally rotate their thigh; while flexing their leg against the practitioner’s resistance.
