Individual Position: The individual is seated with their arm flexed to 90? and their thumb pointing up. (The humerus should be in a neutral position, neither pronated nor supinated).
Practitioner Position: The practitioner with one hand stabilizes the individual’s shoulder and with the other hand maintains contact with the individual’s posterior forearm.
Description of Muscle Test: The individual is requested to externally rotate the humerus against the practitioner’s resistance, without recruiting from their other muscles.
